Following a childhood car crash, Alexia (Agathe Rousselle) lives with a titanium plate fitted into her skull and an intense, sexual fixation on motor vehicles. As an adult working as a provocative model at motor shows, Alexia conceals a secret life as a violent serial killer. After an intimate encounter with a customized car leaves her unexpectedly pregnant with a bizarre biological hybrid, her violent spree forces her on the run from the law.

To evade police, Alexia breaks her own nose, shaves her head, and binds her changing body to disguise herself as Adrien—a young boy who went missing 10 years earlier. She is taken in by Adrien's grieving father, Vincent (Vincent Lindon), a steroid-injecting fire captain who desperately chooses to believe she is his returned son. Inside the hyper-masculine environment of the fire station, a strange, deeply emotional bond forms between them as Alexia's surreal pregnancy reaches its peak.
