Justine Pearce was a prodigy in the world of grand slam tennis whose career was cut short by a devastating injury at age 17, alongside the intense pressure exerted by her maverick coach, Glenn Lapthorn. Five years later, Justine works as a therapist at her old sports academy, having rebuilt her life in the shadow of her former stardom. When Glenn returns to the academy accompanied by a new rising star, Justine makes explosive allegations against him, alleging serious boundaries were crossed during her teenage years. As the international tennis circuit responds to the shockwaves, Justine and her closest friends—including her best friend and former peer, who navigates her own queer identity and personal relationships—are forced to revisit their pasts and confront the systemic abuse and grooming rampant in high-stakes professional athletics.
