The film follows four attractive young college women—Megan (Monique Gabrielle), Roxanne (Madison Stone), Jan (Stacey Nix), and Terry—who are hired by an eccentric client to spend the weekend cleaning out a large, long-abandoned suburban mansion. Shortly after their arrival, a mysterious, jittery delivery man named Gideon Marrow (David Carradine) arrives at the property to drop off an ancient, heavy book wrapped in chains. Ignorant of the obvious warnings, the girls open the lock and discover the book is filled with bizarre magical text and old, hand-drawn sketches.

When one of the girls inadvertently reads an ancient incantation aloud from the parchment, the drawings spark to life. A monstrous, hyper-sexualized, and intensely devious cartoon wolf manifests in the real world. The animated creature begins terrorizing the mansion, shifting between a physical 2D presence and an invisible spirit capable of taking control of human hosts. One by one, the girls are targeted, possessed, and turned against each other in a series of campy, blood-spattered encounters. The remaining survivors must team up with the home's regular maintenance man, Burt (Dick Miller), to figure out how to force the cartoon demon back into the pages of the book before the weekend ends.

💡 Did you know?
The Budget-Saving Moniker: Director Fred Olen Ray hired standard comic strip animator Clark Branden to draw the blue monster completely by hand. Because traditional frame-by-frame animation was incredibly expensive for an independent B-movie, Ray limited the creature's total actual screen time to just a few minutes, utilizing invisible internal possession for the rest of the plot to keep production costs incredibly low.
