Picking up after the events of the acclaimed Dutch TV series of the same name, Anne+ follows 20-something writer Anne (Hanna van Vliet) living in vibrant Amsterdam. Under immense pressure to finish her debut novel, Anne faces a major life crossroads: her girlfriend Sara (Jouman Fattal) has moved to Montreal for work, and Anne is expected to join her permanently once her manuscript is completed.
However, as the relocation deadline approaches, Anne finds herself procrastinating and feeling increasingly disconnected from her planned future. She crosses paths with Lou (Thorn Roos de Vries), a charismatic, non-binary drag artist who challenges her views on relationships, identity, and independence. Forced to confront what she truly wants versus what is expected of her, Anne must decide whether leaving Amsterdam means finding herself or running away from her own happiness.
