🎬 My Summer of Love

Mona (Natalie Press) is a working-class, rebellious teenager living in a sun-drenched, melancholic Yorkshire countryside village. Her older brother, Phil (Paddy Considine), a former convict who recently became a born-again Christian, converts their family pub into a born-again prayer group venue, leaving Mona feeling alienated and suffocated in her own home.

Mona's stagnant world shifts dramatically when she crosses paths with Tamsin (Emily Blunt), a posh, manipulative, and educated upper-class girl home for the summer at her family's sprawling estate. Despite their vast class differences, the two girls form an intense, dreamlike friendship that rapidly evolves into a passionate romantic affair. However, as Tamsin weaves elaborate tales of tragedy and personal sorrow, Mona becomes dangerously blind to the sinister boundary between Tamsin's romantic fantasies and cruel fabrications.
