Lijepa večer, lijep dan

Set in Yugoslavia during the 1950s—a turbulent decade marked by political paranoia and strict social conformity—Lijepa večer, lijep dan follows four close friends who fought as partisans during World War II and now pursue artistic freedom as filmmakers. As they attempt to navigate the rigid state censorship and ideological demands of the postwar socialist regime, their deep personal bonds and hidden queer identities emerge as an unbearable threat to the authorities. When state security begins investigating their circle, the group is forced to choose between political loyalty, creative integrity, and the right to love freely in a society that demands complete ideological submission.
