🎬Imitation Girl

A mysterious young woman materializes out of the desert in a flash of light, completely silent and entirely blank, learning how to walk, speak, and interact with the world around her. Parallel to her awakening is the life of Julianna, a glamorous and troubled television talk show host living in New York City whose seemingly perfect life is unraveling under the weight of addiction and emotional isolation. As the two women's paths slowly converge, the film explores profound themes of identity, bodily autonomy, and self-reinvention, with Lauren Ashley Carter brilliantly playing dual roles as mirror images of one another.
