Set against the gritty backdrop of rural truck stops and desert highways, Black Tar Road follows Heather (Maria Lindsay), a truck driver caught in a vicious cycle of addiction and illicit smuggling, and Charlie (Amber Dawn Lee), a hardened prostitute enduring abuse at the hands of her ruthless pimp.

When their paths cross at a remote truck stop, a fierce romantic bond develops between the two women. Desperate to escape their painful pasts and the violent figures controlling their lives, Heather and Charlie pool their resources to plot a dangerous getaway. However, as local cartels, corrupt enforcers, and internal betrayals close in, their bid for freedom turns into a desperate struggle for survival along the open road.
